Delightful Ocean View Condominium (C-116) On The Friendly Island of Molokai, Hawaii

Our Molokai condominium is a wonderful way to rest, relax and enjoy the serenity and freedom of your vacation destination.

From the quaint town of Kaunakakai, drive east on Highway 450 to the Wavecrest Resort, that is located at the 13 mile marker. Turn right into the driveway and you will soon realize that you have arrived at a tropical paradise.

Our recently renovated ground floor condominium is one of the few units that has two bedrooms/one and a half baths instead of the usual one bath/one bedroom. Another luxury is that it has its own washer and dryer contained within the condo unit. You will be happy to know that high speed wireless internet is available in the unit.

From our condominium living room and our comfortably furnished lanai, you can enjoy an ocean view with a barrier reef, frolicking whales (in season) and the islands of Maui and Lanai in the distance. Stroll on paths through manicured lawns, tropical plants and swaying palm trees to the ocean edge. There you can sit on a bench or lawn chair and enjoy the wonders of nature. The evening sunsets are beautiful.

If you care for more cover, the resort cabana is a few steps away with comfortable furnishings. It is also a wonderful place to meet and get to know fellow vacationers with whom you can share common interests.

The cabana is a large space next to the beach with ocean view, barbeque equipment and a library area for those who wish for a good book. During the busy season many social events have been held at the cabana. To name a few, Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day with pot lucks and bring your own drinks. Bingo is another popular event. Be you a condo homeowner or condo renter all are welcome to attend. At this writing, hula lessons are being taught. An annual luau is held in March and all are welcome for a nominal fee. This event includes evening entertainment.

Within our C116 Molokai condominium is a full kitchen with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, granite counter tops and plenty of cabinets with dishes, glassware, cookware, flatware and kitchen towels etc. The master bedroom with adjoining bathroom and king-sized bed has its own private lanai. The second bedroom has a full size bed located near the hall bath. Linens and towels are provided. Our living room is comfortably furnished with couch, chairs, desk, table, entertainment center and of course it has "the view". Hawaiian Art adorns all our walls. For your comfort there are ceiling fans in the kitchen, living room and both bedrooms.

Other amenities include a newly tiled ocean front swimming pool and a shuffle board court (near the cabana) as well as two lighted recently resurfaced tennis courts that are located adjacent to the office and entry to the resort.

Driving to and from Kaunakakai on highway 450 is a beautiful and restful experience. Although there are stop signs, there is not one traffic light on the entire island.

Hotel Molokai with its restaurant and bar serves delicious food and drinks and is located close to the downtown area. It is a popular place with a variety of entertainment most nights. Another local establishment is the Paddlers Inn with its good food/drinks, entertainment, and five big screen TVs.

For more adventure you may want to try kayaking, whale-watching or snorkeling. Kalaupapa, made famous by the Hansen's disease (Leprosy) patients, St. Damien and other loving caretakers, is a memorable event that should not be excluded from your plans. Travel there by mule ride, air or walking for the tour. This is an experience that will not be soon forgotten.

Main-street Kaunakakai has various shops and businesses, 2 grocery stores, including the small supermarket and a Bakery Restaurant. The Cookhouse features delightful cuisine and is a short drive out of Kaunakakai. The 9-hole Ironwoods Golf Course is located towards the island west end. Papohaku, the well-known 3-mile white sand beach is at the west end and should not be missed. A guided tour is a wonderful way to get a true feeling of the island.

Molokai is the birthplace of the Hula - don't miss the Kahula Piko Hula Festival in May of each year.

Molokai is representative of what the Hawaiian Islands used to be, but it also provides the comfort, convenience and beauty for a truly enjoyable vacation.

Molokai is old Hawaii at its best. You'll find an insider's look at our beautiful island in the Molokai Virtual Tour.
